- In December 2005 the parents of the deceased hacker known as Tron obtained an interim injunction from a Berlin court barring the Wikimedia Foundation from naming his surname on its websites. On 16 May 2008 the Landgericht Köln held that Wikimedia Deutschland is not responsible for the content of Wikipedia, in a case brought by a Frankfurt publisher seeking an injunction over how it was portrayed in an article; the Landgericht Hamburg reached a similar conclusion in a later case. In November 2015 the Reiss-Engelhorn case began, in which a Wikipedian who had uploaded images of works from the Mannheim Reiss-Engelhorn museums to Wikimedia Commons was sued; the Bundesgerichtshof decided in the museum's favour.
