Claims

  1. Lins de Holanda Coelho, Hanel, and Wolf developed and validated a 6-item short version of the Need for Cognition Scale (NCS-6) using three samples from the United States and the United Kingdom with a combined N of 1,596, and reported that the NCS-6 retains comparable construct validity to the NCS-18 with substantially shorter administration time.
