In a timed 10-second writing task among 209 health care professionals (82 of them doctors), doctors' handwriting was no less legible than that of non-doctors; lower legibility was associated with being an executive and being male.
"This study fails to support the conventional wisdom that doctors' handwriting is worse than others."
