Claims

  1. Amnesty International documented 95 people tried before the SCC between 2011 and 2019, of whom about 52 were serving sentences of 5 to 30 years; at least 20 Shi'a men tried by the SCC had been sentenced to death on the basis of alleged torture-tainted confessions, 17 of whom had been executed.
