Today’s Update: Fact-check prompt + big-doc “ask”
Agpedia gained a preliminary fact-check workflow for verifying claims against citations, and MCP Research Friend’s ask mode can now split and synthesize large documents.
Two small-but-foundational improvements landed today: one makes Agpedia fact-checking more repeatable, and the other makes it easier to interrogate large sources while doing it.
Agpedia (agpwiki): Fact-check workflow
A new fact-check prompt provides a structured pass that:
- reads the editorial meta pages first (
/meta/values,/meta/scope,/meta/style,/meta/citations) - loads the target page (
wiki_readPage) - checks that citations actually support the claims (via
citation_read, and by following source URLs when possible) - reports only what matters: clearly false, misattributed, unsourced key claims, and contradictions (not style polish)
MCP Research Friend (mcp-research-friend): “ask” for large documents
Ask mode now supports askSplitAndSynthesize, which:
- chunks oversized documents (with a small overlap)
- runs the question per chunk
- synthesizes a single answer that dedupes and resolves conflicts
A 20MB hard limit keeps things predictable.
Together, this makes “Does the source really say this?” faster to answer—especially when the source is a report-length PDF.
