Proposal: Lists of articles with issues

No status set yet

What changes

One new page under Tools, Articles with issues, lists the articles that need work. At the top you pick the kind of issue, and the page shows that list:

More kinds can be added later in the same place, as new notices appear.

The Articles with issues page with buttons to pick the kind of issue: Not yet fact-checked, Issues found by page checks, and No Wikidata ID (selected, 90); below, the list of articles without a Wikidata ID
Mock-up: one page for all issue lists, here showing the articles without a Wikidata ID (real list, October 2026). Open Knowledge Association · CC0 · Wikimedia Commons

Why

Every notice on an article marks work that someone could do. Collecting the notices in one place lets contributors and bots pick up that work without opening articles one by one. One page with a choice of kind, rather than one page per kind, keeps the Tools menu short, as for Recent changes.

How it works

Technical notes

Each kind is a query using the same rules that decide the notices on articles today, so nothing new is stored. The MCP gets one read-only tool taking the kind (and, for page checks, the kind of check), returning the matching articles a page at a time; the existing "missing Wikidata" resource stays as an alias.
