The first joint analysis of K2-18 b's full JWST spectrum (0.6–12 micrometres) finds insufficient evidence for DMS or DMDS. Marginal preferences come from limiting the molecules considered, and a range of photochemically plausible hydrocarbons can explain the data. About 25 more MIRI transits would be needed for a 3-sigma rejection of a flat spectrum.
