Claims

  1. Trees reach 10–15 m in height with trunks of 50–80 cm in diameter. Leaves are paripinnate with 3–5 pairs of leaflets measuring 4–5 cm long by 2–3 cm wide. Flowers are white, borne in terminal panicles. The fruit is a single-seeded pod.

  2. Flowering occurs from December to March. Fruits ripen in August–September, with the tree nearly leafless. Seeds number approximately 1,720 per kg. Germination rate exceeds 60%, emerging in 20–40 days. Field growth is slow: plants do not reach 2 m in height by age 2.

  3. The wood has a density of 0.70 g/cm³, straight or irregular grain, glossy surface, is moderately resistant to decay, and has a differentiated sapwood. It is used in construction, furniture, flooring, doors, and window frames.
