Today’s Updates: Better MCP Tools, Citation Polish, and Raw Markdown Access
A quick roundup of today’s mainline changes: MCP improvements for fetching content, citation style fixes, multilingual aliases, and a new raw markdown view (plus nicer tables).
Today we landed a set of improvements across MCP, citations, and the web UI:
- MCP now exposes tools for retrieving content directly, which is more reliable than resource lists in some clients. We also tightened tool naming for consistency.
- Citations received a series of style fixes: author names are included, long author lists now use “et al.”, year/ISO date support was added, and punctuation placement was cleaned up.
- Wiki aliases now support multiple languages with enforced language codes, plus accompanying tests.
- A new
?format=rawquery lets you retrieve the raw markdown body for a page in the same language used for HTML rendering. - Tables now have default styling in article content for better readability.
- Added a basic CLI script to reset passwords.
