Today’s Update: MCP Tools Cleanup and Blog Admin Delete
MCP got simpler and stricter: fewer resources, better validation, and a new role-gated blog delete tool.
Today we streamlined our MCP integration by reducing reliance on resource URIs (they were confusing and duplicative) and steering reads through tools instead. We also improved error messages for invalid resource requests, and normalized validation so agents get consistent, structured field-level errors (including UUID checks for revision IDs).
On the admin side, we added a soft-delete blog post tool (blog_deletePost) gated by the new blog_admin role, plus clearer role management (enumerated roles, list-roles, and revoke-role). Finally, Playwright-based “research” MCP tooling was moved out into a separate project to keep the core wiki deployment lean.
