- In 2025 the association funded 321 community projects and events, an increase of 8.5 percent on the previous year, and covered 1,032 individual services such as travel costs and literature grants. Events including WikiCon, FemNetzCon and AdminCon drew more than 2,300 participants. The WikiCon held in Potsdam was the largest in the event's history with 397 on-site and online participants, and the share of participants under 30 rose to 14 percent from 10 percent in 2024. Fourteen scholarships were awarded for Wikimania in Nairobi. Around 37,000 people contribute to the German-language Wikipedia in an average month, about 5,000 of them intensively.
