Claim ID
not-extremely-rare
Assertion
The masses and densities of the Solar System's giant planets are very typical, as is its age. Jupiter's orbital location is somewhat of an outlier, most likely because surveys favour short-period planets. The most special features are the lack of super-Earths with orbital periods of days to months and the lack of planets inside Mercury's orbit. Overall the Solar System is not expected to be extremely rare.
