All Hands AI announced a $5 million seed round on September 5, 2024, led by Menlo Ventures with Pillar VC, Betaworks, and Rebellion participating, plus angel investors including Hugging Face co-founder Thomas Wolf, Cloudera co-founder Jeff Hammerbacher, and PyTorch creator Soumith Chintala. Brennan said the company expected to monetise through paid, closed-source enterprise features so that larger enterprise users would financially sustain the open source project. He also said human developers would remain necessary in the loop for a long time.
