- Robert Brennan states that investors approached the project within a week or two of it taking off, and that he held one-to-one conversations with all six people who were early to the project - himself, Graham Neubig, Xingyao Wang, Junyang Lin, Binyuan Hui, and Bowen Li - to gauge interest in founding a company. Neubig agreed immediately and Wang needed convincing because he was mid-PhD. Lin, Hui, and Li declined; Brennan attributes this to their existing careers at Alibaba and at a research lab in China. The remaining three founded All Hands AI.
