- Sophie married Otte Andersen Thott, commander of Landskrona fort, in 1579; their only child, Tage, was born in 1580. After Thott's death she managed Eriksholm as guardian of her minor son, created renowned gardens there, cultivated medicinal plants, set up an alchemy laboratory, and was the first known person to plant tulip bulbs in Denmark.
